Parent Teacher Association
The Parent Teacher Association is a group of parents/guardians and staff who regularly meet voluntarily to discuss and organise fun and exciting activities for the children and parents of the school to enjoy.
Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings and we actively welcome and encourage new ideas and suggestions – the more the merrier! Our main objective is to build closer relations between parents/guardians and teachers whilst raising funds to support our primary school and nursery. Any funds raised will be used to provide much needed resources and facilities to benefit the children and staff of the school.
Our priority for the 2018/19 school year was supporting the build of our spectacular new school sports hall which was built throughout Spring/Summer 2018. We are now looking forward to 2020 and how we can help the school bring the other facilities up to date to give the children the best possible learning space. Our next target sees us focus on the outdoor areas. Last year the school said goodbye to it’s very much loved wooden castle that gave in to rot and is hugely missed by the children and we anticipate the current fixed play that is housed in the playground will need completely replacing in the near future. We would love to give the pupils and staff a complete playground over-haul!
In recent years the fundraising efforts by the PTA has been very successful but the success has only been possible thanks to the support it has received. Our most recent events have included school discos, film nights, a Christmas fair and a bake-off competition & cake sale. We have lots more planned throughout the coming year to help bring us closer to our target but any additional help or donations would be gratefully received.
If you would like to get involved with the PTA, volunteer your help at forthcoming events, or make any suggestions regarding future events then please contact the school office where your details will be passed to the PTA Chairperson.
